Owner questions, answered
How soon can you start managing my property?
Right away. A property management agreement has to be signed first, for police and fire reasons, and it is what authorises us to enter and manage the property.
How and when do I get paid?
By EFT, direct to your account, with an email confirming the deposit. As soon as the tenant pays, the funds transfer within 24 hours. A statement follows on the 10th of each month.
Do I get to see the lease?
Yes. You are involved in the decision before signing, you get a copy, and Home 2 Home is authorised to sign on your behalf.
Do you sell real estate too?
No. Property management only, so there is no conflict of interest. We are not affiliated with any real estate company, though we can tell you which realtors are getting results.
What types of property do you manage?
Single family, multi family, condos, commercial and industrial.
How long a lease do you sign?
Twelve months minimum, or as you instruct.
Do you handle yearly rent increases?
Yes, in line with the percentage Ontario allows each year.
Who holds the last month deposit?
You do. Ontario does not allow security deposits unless a tenant offers one; first and last month rent is what can be collected, and we EFT the last month to your account.
